Communication 2.0

Getting a group of people into the same physical domain solely for the purpose of exchanging ideas is inefficient and often prohibitive. Remote communication and collaboration have been common practice for years in software design, and these practices are becoming increasing common in the sciences. Traditional forms of communication are also changing as a result of these trends. Slide presentations can now be shown interactively from a remote location, or easily packaged into an online presentation that can be consumed at the convenience of the target audience. Collaborative networks, blogs, virtual worlds, and other forms of network communication are providing new opportunities for communicating, but how best to use them? Things to explore:
